Born from the need to produce a technological breakthrough for mining operations, specifically focused on production processes within central Africa, Axis House were the pioneers in establishing a necessary distribution model, that was both financially sound and lead-time orientated, enabling substantial changes to be made in how African mining operations approach all facets of the production process.

Flotation Collectors:
Oxide Flotation: Axis House supply and produce a range of collectors tailored made for the flotation of oxide minerals.
Reo Flotation: With a pioneering approach to Rare Earth Oxides (ROE), Axis House has developed specific reagents for the separation of ROE into mixed concentrates.
Base Metal Sulphide Flotation: Axis House supply a range of selective sulphide collectors for the flotation of Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni and Mo.
Industrial Minerals: Axis House has extended our technology to effectively treat Industrial Minerals.

– Developing cutting edge reagent solutions can be as complex as those ore bodies themselves, which is why we follow a practical application technical strategy.
– A complimentary suite selection and optimisation service is available for all clients, specifically those interested in the Axis House developed technology of combining fatty acids, hydroxamates and sulphidisation suites to effectively and economically float oxide minerals.

Polyacrylamides with a range of different charge strengths and molecular weight, improve the settling rate at various solid and liquid separation stages in mineral processing – such as thickening of flotation concentrates, recovery of pregnant leach liquors and dewatering of tailings.
COLLECTORS
TLQ2
A specialised oil-based liquid collector which offers improved selectivity of valuable sulphide minerals over xanthates. Effective in increasing the flotation kinetics and grade of chalcopyrite/chalcocite compared to xanthates. Low dosage required and does not break down under low alkaline conditions.
TLQ2-DX
A formulated liquid sulphide collector targeting chalcopyrite in ores that contain high levels of pyrite as a contaminant. Based on the selective nature of TLQ2 towards copper, the TLQ2-DX further enhances the selectivity. Through rejection of pyrite in the roughing stage, build up is not experienced in the cleaner circuit. Typically works at very low doses while improving flotation kinetics as well as concentrate grade.
DLQ2
A liquid sulphide collector that can be used as a complete replacement or as a secondary collector with xanthates. Selective towards base metal sulphides, as well as sulphides containing gold. Lower dosage required compared to xanthates.
DLQ5
A liquid collector designed for the differential flotation of Cu/Pb/Zn circuits. DLQ5 collects copper and lead whilst allowing for effective rejection of zinc. The rejection can be further enhanced with the use of a depressant.
MLQ1
A water-soluble collector used for copper ores containing sulphide and oxide minerals. Collecting power compares to PAX, however more selective. Also effective in collecting gold sulphides.
AM810
A liquid C8/C10 hydroxamate designed for the flotation of oxidized base metals. Forms a complex through chelation therefore a wider range of oxide minerals can be floated. Works best as a secondary collector after sulphidising with NaHS/Na2S.
DEPRESSANTS
Revadep CM3
A metallurgical grade CMC used to depress Talc by rendering the surface of the gangue hydrophilic.
Revadep 5050
Disperses fine material and depresses siliceous gangue such as quartz, mica, calcite and alumina-silicate.
Revadep Cu++
A strong dispersant which alters the charge of fine gangue material, thereby repelling each other. This reduces pulp viscosity which allows for better froth drainage, resulting in an increase in the concentrate grade. Effective in the rejection of carbon.
Revadep RB
A natural polyphenol designed to disperse and depress clay gangue found in sulphide-bearing base metal ores. Very effective in improving concentrate grade. Dissolves easily in water.
SMOOTHING AGENT
ALC9
A new type of smoothing agent used to reduce nodules during copper cathode production. ALC9 has no effect on the phase disengagement in SX and works effectively at high current densities, producing smooth cathodes compared to Guar and starches.

DEPRESSANTS
The most common gangue associated in Cu-Co oxide ores are silica, clay and carbonate minerals. The Axis House range of gangue depressants have dispersing and depressing properties to effectively reduce the gangue recovery, increases metal grade and reduces the pulp viscosity.
Revadep 5050: A water soluble powder, that is easy to prepare as solution and dose. Developed for the depression/Dispersion of gangue minerals like quartz, mica and calcite.
Revadep RB: A mixture of natural polyphenols to effectively disperse and depress clay minerals. It is water soluble and renders floatable gangue hydrophilic, thus improving concentrate grade.
Revadep Cu++: A water soluble powder with strong ability to reduce pulp viscosity and alter the charge of fine gangue material by improving froth drainage and improves concentrate grade.
SULPHIDISING AGENTS
Sulphidising agents are applied during oxide mineral flotation so that thiol collectors such as xanthate can be applied to recovery oxide Cobalt and Copper. Controlled Potential Sulphidisation (CPS) is the preferred application of these reagents, although slug dosage is also commonly used. Ammonium sulphate, sulphidising promotor, also assist with improved adsorption of Sulphide ions during sulphidisation.

COBALT PRECIPITATION
MagChem 40: MagChem 40 AH: A high purity, light burned magnesium oxide produced from magnesium-rich brine and dolomitic lime. This fine white powder has a very high reactivity index and a low bulk density. USES: MagChem 40 AH is well suited for metal recovery processes from mining operations such as cobalt, nickel, and copper. Its high purity and high reactivity provide effective metal precipitation with optimum metal recovery.

COLLECTORS
DGQ4
This has shown an increase in recovery of fine particles (< 25μm) and this is attributed to its effect on the behaviour of the froth phase. When used in dual-collector reagent suites with xanthates, the recovery of free gold and gold-bearing sulphides is markedly improved. As the silver content of the gold surface increases, DGQ4 adsorption increases dramatically. Research has concluded that the addition of DGQ4 results in a more stable froth phase in addition to the synergistic interactions between the reagent and primary xanthate collector – hence the improved floatation performance.
MGQ2
MGQ2 adsorption occurs on pure gold surfaces as both monomeric and dimeric species. MGQ2 has a higher affinity for gold particles with low silver content, thus using the collector in low silver grade ore results in improved recoveries. It is an alternative to the conventional xanthate collectors and requires lower dosages to obtain high recoveries in sulphide-mineral flotation.
TGQ4
The collector by having both a short chained and a branched alkyl group renders the minerals’ surfaces hydrophobic at a faster rate than most collectors resulting in improvrd flotation performance when blended with other collectors. The liquid nature of the oily product improves the shelf life significantly, as well as adding to the ease of dosing, as no additional make-up is required.
DEPRESSANTS
Revadep CLA-D
Ore constituents such as clay-forming minerals and hydrated iron oxides can hinder the attachment of free gold onto the bubble surface. The hindrance of the free gold attachment to the bubble is more pronounced in the fine size classes with the slimes coating, otherwise floatable minerals. Revadep CLA-D in small amounts can act as a dispersant having a positive impact on both the flotation rate and overall gold recovery.

TPG4
A neutral oily specialised liquid sulphide collector that can be used as a complete replacement for xanthate collectors. The collector is both a short chained and a branched alkyl group, rendering the minerals’ surfaces hydrophobic at a faster rate than the xanthate collectors. This is very beneficial when dealing with non-sulphide PGMs, such as tellurides and arsenides that have slow flotation kinetics. Benefits are: improved grades, rejection of iron-impurities and very low doses.
DPG4
A liquid sulphide collector that can be used as a complete replacement or as a secondary collector with xanthates. The minimum interaction between the DPG4 collector and mineral surface is sufficient to impart hydrophobicity to the mineral surface. The residual DPG4 collector molecules aggregates onto the bubble-particle interphase. This process stabilises the agglomerate, resulting in higher concentrate grades. When DPG4 is used as a secondary collector, the collector adsorbs on strong sites and the xanthate adsorbs on the remaining weaker sites on the sulphide mineral surface. This results in a greater surface coverage, thereby enhancing the adsorption of xanthate onto sulphide minerals and improving the PGM recovery.
DPG6
In an alkaline circuit, flotation reagent is more selective against iron sulphides and displays weak collective power towards pyrite. In relation to the PGM industry, a key characteristic of the collectors is its fast kinetics contribution which is key when dealing with the slow floating minerals. The liquid nature of the product significantly improves the shelf life and adds to the ease of dosing as no additional make-up is required.
DEPRESSANTS
Revadep Tal-D
Talc is a naturally floating gangue mineral found in PGM ores and has a hydrophobic nature that increases with milling intensity. As a result, talc is a major concern for PGM producers who are mandated with fine grind milling. Revadep Tal-D adsorbs onto the talc surface, making the surface hydrophilic, thus reporting to the tailings and improving the grade of the concentrate.
Revadep Sil-D
Fine grinding associated with PGM beneficiation often results in formation of slimes that coat the mineral particles, retarding collector adsorption. Silicates are a common contaminant of PGM concentrate. Silicates are efficiently depressed using Revadep Sil-D. The product utilises the ability to completely bond with activating cations in a chelating fashion, thus depressing the targeted gangue minerals, while also dispersing fine clay-like particles. This allows the clean mineral surface to interact with the collector.

DEPRESSANTS RANGE
In direct flotation of phosphate minerals, depressants are applied to reduce the recovery of unwanted gangue minerals such as calcite, silicates and clays. The Axis House range of depressants for phosphate ores are selected through detailed test work and by mineralogy.
